Tournament Information
- 18 holes
- The format is 2 net best balls of the 5 person team on each hole. If you have less than 5 players in your group we will fill out your team.
- Your handicap is 90% of your established handicap index adjusted for play on Edgewood Country Club. The maximum amount of net strokes allowed is 30 for men and 36 for women.
- A first place team prize will be awarded. A tie will be broken by matching cards starting at Hole #18 and moving backward on a net basis.
- We have individual winners for low gross and low net amateurs so you must play out each hole to be eligible for these awards. In the case of a tie, a playoff will start on Hole #1 if time permits. Otherwise, winners will be decided with a card playoff starting on #18.
- We have closest to the pin awards on all par three holes.
- We play the red tees on the entire golf course. However, we use the men’s handicap to determine where your strokes fall. The ladies’ tees will be forward of the men’s tees.
- Please use wound soft cover golf balls to help protect the clubs.
- All clubs within a fivesome are interchangeable among all five players. Please notify Marty or Chuck if any clubs are broken or damaged.
- If you have other players you wish to play with, please note it on your entry form. We will try to accommodate all requests.
- Wearing “Plus Fours” is strongly encouraged and adds to the mystique of the event, but they are not required. Please help us promote the tradition of the game by wearing your knickers (plus twos or plus fours) or period attire for the ladies. Contact T.
